Butler County's Microenterprise Microloan Program

The Microenterprise Program is a partnership among SELF, Biz Tech Center and Neighborhood Housing Services.

Do you want to be your own boss? Have you struggled to get your business started?

If you qualify, you will receive at no charge:

  •  A ten-week business training class with topics including: business plan essentials; finances, budgeting and cash flow; marketing strategies; legal issues.
  • A workbook and other materials.
  • Support to overcome barriers to participating in the class.
  • Personalized one-on-one instruction and expertise on business plan development.
  • An opportunity to present your business plan to a special Loan Review Committee for a possible  loan of $500 to $3,500.
  • Free, furnished office space for up to three months for eligible program graduates.

To be eligible, participants must have a household income of no more than 80% of the Area Median Income. Eligibility Chart
