Fifth Third Bank eBus Returns to Greater Cincinnati
2008 Tour Brings Financial Services Directly to Community; Includes Stop at Hamilton Crossing Shopping Center
Hamilton – The Fifth Third Bank eBus is returning to greater Cincinnati to increase financial literacy and homeownership in the community and plans to stop, in conjunction with Supports to Encourage Low-income Families (SELF), at the Hamilton Crossing Shopping Center:
Thursday, May 8, 2008
1790 A&B South Erie Hwy
Hamilton, OH 45012
4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Since 2004, the 40-foot bus retrofitted with the latest satellite technology and equipment has traveled throughout Fifth Third’s affiliate markets bringing much-needed financial services to underserved communities. Visitors who step onboard the bus can get one-on-one credit counseling services, get information on the home-buying process and apply for a mortgage, receive information about foreclosure prevention, and gain access to other financial products and services like checking and savings accounts. Additionally, this year, Fifth Third Bank security representatives will be onboard to share information about the many types of fraud and to teach visitors how to protect their financial assets and identities.
The event is free to the public, and community members are encouraged to stop by to utilize the eBus and its services any time between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m.
After 6:30, eBus representatives will be working directly with participants in SELF’s “Financial Literacy and Individual Development Account (IDA)” program, which is sponsored in part by Fifth Third Bank. SELF’s IDA program works with qualified low-income Butler County residents to help them learn how to better manage their finances and to help them to save money so that they can own a home, improve their education, or start a small business. To learn more about SELF and the IDA program, or to see if you qualify, call (513) 868-9300.
