With officials predicting soaring energy costs this winter and social service agencies having fewer resources to help needy families, the Energy Forum will bring together Butler County leaders to discuss potential plans of action to aid low-income residents, especially the elderly and people with disabilities. Leaders will be challenged to develop a plan to help the most vulnerable in Butler County.

Founded in 1995 by the late Butler County Commissioner Janet Clemmons, Supports to Encourage Low-income Families (SELF) is a private non-profit, 501(c)(3) and the only state-designated community action agency for Butler County, Ohio. SELF provides various programs that enable low-income individuals and families to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency.
